Which of the following is not an absolute contraindication for the combined oral contraceptive pill?

A) Migraine
B) Diabetes
C) Hypertension
D) Knee replacement surgery
E) Breast feeding 4 weeks post-partum

The answer is A.

The UKMEC categories define who can use which contraceptives, anything which falls into category 4 is defined as unacceptable and the health risk is too high - aka an absolute contraindication.

Of those listed above, A) Migraine does not fall into category 4, it is only migraine with aura which is an absolute contraindication to the COCP.
